Stitches?

So I tore during delivery (3 weeks ago), and my stitches are still there! I'm just wondering if this is normal? They don't hurt or anything just surprised they're still there, I'd like to be able to DTD soon with hubby, it's been a while

it takes six weeks minimum for them to dissolve.

I was about to say, mine were still there at my 4 wk check up. And my dr didn't clear us for sex until 6 wks pp and it still hurt.

I thought mine were gone last week (dh checked...) but then one more fell out while I was in the bathroom yesterday. I would wait.

I am 5 weeks and mine are still there, too. They are starting to bug me a bit so I am hoping that it means they are getting ready to say goodbye.

Mine were not gone at my 4wk c/u but were gone at my 6wk c/u..for the record it does still hurt the first time but it gets better:) GL!

At my six week on Tuesday, I was told that they're dissolved but that everything isn't totally fused back together yet internally and to proceed with caution ( and lots of lube!)
