pregnancy symptoms

I am happy to share that my DH and I are pregnant after IVF #3, in which we used donor eggs.  Beta numbers were good, but I'm not feeling those pregnancy symptoms that I have read so much about.  I am just five weeks 3 days today.  Could anyone give feedback about what week they started to feel symptoms, especially when you felt nausea.  I am trying to calm my nerves about lack of symptoms.  Many thanks!

Re: pregnancy symptoms

  • Lots of people don't get symptoms at all.  Other than sore breasts with my first two, I didn't have any.

That said, a lot of women don't get symptoms until 6-7 weeks.

Congrats and I hope you have a happy and healthy 9 months!

  • Congratulations!!!  I didn't have any symptoms at all with either of my boys!  (I had problems with my second, but they weren't pregnancy symptoms.)  It is very normal not to have any symptoms, or feel them late.  H&H 9 months!!!
  • Every pregnancy is different.  I have felt symptoms very early, even before BFP.  Not feeling any symptoms is NOT a bad thing.  Enjoy feeling good, the bad will come in due time.

    Congrats on your pregnancy!

  • I am about as far along as you are and I don't really have any big symptoms yet. Just sore boobs, and extreme hunger. This coming week could get interesting as I start week 6.

  • Congratulations on your pregnancy and welcome.  Many of the woman on this board had little to no symptoms when they first found out.  For me personally, I noticed increased moodiness, veiny boobs, and nausea beginning when I hit six weeks.  However, keep in mind it will be different for everyone and a lack of symtpoms is not a bad thing!
  • Congrats on your pregnancy! I am exactly 5 weeks 3 days also and pregnant after IVF. The only symptoms I have are sore/veiny breasts and pretty intense exhaustion. I know those could be from the PIO too, so I'm not really sure what to think!

    GL to you!

Besides being really tired, all the time, I haven't had too many other symptoms. Enjoy it while you can..that's what I've heard! ;)

  • I am 5 weeks 3 days as well. I did not really have any ms with my dd. Up until today I have only had sore breasts. I have started to feel kind of queezy today. Try not to worry- I know it's easier said than done.

  • Congrats!

I am in week 7 and have just started feeling nausea that was more than just a fleeting thought. I find it is happening when I am hungry.. weird. It does seem to be getting gradually worst, but still no real full blown m/s.

I actually have a team member at work that is 3 weeks ahead of me and has that "I'm ready to throw up all over you." look constantly.

I am trying to think that I am lucky for now and to enjoy the lack of toilet bowl visits due to nausea or sickness.

    Enjoy it while you can!

  • Congrats, turtledove!  I am pregnant after our third IVF cycle also.  So happy for success stories!  I had a few intermittent days of light nausea in the end of week 5 and the last 36 hours have been nasty with nausea/chills/sweats/headache... I am 6-1/2 weeks right now.  When is your first u/s?  What meds are you taking?  We go in tomorrow for first u/s and bloodwork.  I'm on Vivelle Dots, Estrace, progesterone injections and suppositories.  So excited for you!!!!  :)

  • With DD I only had a little cramping and sore boobs. NEVER got nauseous at all and I was thankful!

This time I feel absolutely nothing. Not a single symptom.

  • Thanks for your response!  And congratulations as well.  What a rollercoaster IVF is, to say the least.  I am on the same medicine as you, but not the vivelle anymore.  I hope you are feeling better today and wish you good luck at the ultrasound tomorrow!  Please let us know.
