On Prometrium in 1st tri? Please come in

Hi ladies-

For those of you who were on Prometrium suppositories early on, did you see your b/w reflect a higher prog. number pretty quickly or did it take time?

I ask because last week at 5w2d, my p4 was 13.8. I have been on Prometrium 2x day since then. Today, 6w2d, my p4 was only 14.3. (all else looks great, heartrate 113bpm and hcg 32k) I was told by my nurse and a fellow PAIFer that the suppositories dont necessarily make it into the bloodstream, but it gets where it needs to go, and that p4 can vary hour by hour.

I was just looking for similair stories to help calm me down, TIA!!

My info may not be all that helpful. I was on endometrin until 10 weeks, but my re never checked my p4 level. I think they assume that you are getting all that you need because you are putting it up next to where it is needed. I think as long as you are using it properly, you should be fine on the p4 front.
