do you buy formula at Sams?

So I am trying to have DS just have formula...trying so hard to stop BFing, but he loves it so it is hard!!!   We are feeding DS Similac.. is it worth buying at Sam's vs Target or BRU with price and size?  I spent 22 on 1.75lbs at Target....and Sams has a bigger one for 29.99 I think it was 2.25lbs of formula...not sure what to do?

Re: do you buy formula at Sams?

  • Yes, it is cheaper at Sam's because they containers are larger. The only reason I don't buy there is because for some reason in the store they do not carry GoodStart. Not sure why. I would order online, but I can't use my checks and coupons online. :) I shop at BRU and stock up when they have their gift card promotions and such.

  • We always buy ours at Sam's. Though we use the Sam's brand, it seems they have the most reasonable prices (and bigger containers, which I think is easier) of the name brand formulas too.
  • We get ours from Sam's because it's the best price we've found.

  • Sam's definitely...not only for the price but because it lasts for the entire week so we don't have to run out to get another container before the week is up.

  • One thing to consider, if you are a couponer, I don't think you can use coupons at Sams.

We just switched from Enfamil Premium Infant to Sam's brand and it has been working great for us - LO even seems to have less spit up.

For Enfamil, the 22-24 oz. container is normally around $22, but I could easily find it on sale for $20 and use a formula check + coupon.  The Sam's brand equals less than $10 for the same 22-24 oz container, but the container is twice the size, which is handy!

  • We get our Similac at sams. It's the biggest tub I have found for the best price. Plus it has free shipping on it.

  • We've used members mark brand formula for both of our kids and it's sooooo much more affordable!
