Ramona's birth story! PIP

My baby was born on Monday! We?rehome now and she is doing just wonderfully. Here?s my birth story:

 

My water broke at 4am Mondaymorning when I got up to pee. I was unsure if it was my water breaking or if Ipeed myself so we did some internet research and called the OB and they thoughtI should come in. I was very convinced that it was a false alarm so I delayedus as long as possible, but then I started getting timeable contractions about7 minutes apart and pretty painful, so we decided to go in.

We got there around six and I gotan epidural almost immediately. Then for a long time I just kind of slept onand off and every once in awhile they would check my progress. By 10am I was6cm, then by 2pm I was 10cm, but the baby wasn?t low enough for me to startpushing so they had me on my hands and knees, leaning over the back of the bed,which was kind of upright. I was there for about a half hour and then startedpushing at 2:40pm. I pushed for a long time and ended up needing an episiotomybecause her shoulders were too big.            

Ramona Soleil was born at 4:51 pm.She is 9lbs 12oz, and 21 inches long. She?s nursing like a champ and thingshave been pretty much excellent.
