When to TTC #2

Dh and I recently decided we're ready to TTC any time now! I had a scheduled c section with my first, she was breech, but the dr never mentioned how long I should wait before getting pregnant again so I'm wondering what everyone else was told? And I'm considering a VBAC so how long were you recommended to wait to qualify for that?
I have an appointment with my dr on Monday so I'll see what she says too :)

    after my C section, i was told under no circumstance should i get pregnant within the first 6 months.  i think the standard for vbac consideration is 18 months in between pregnancies, but the other ladies might know for sure- probably also depends on the OB as well.

    I was told 12 - 18 months between pregnancies for a VBAC.  We're also considering starting to TTC #2.  I had an unplanned c-section at 37 weeks after an unsuccessful version due to DS being frank breech with no success of trying to get him to flip over for three weeks and it turned out I was in early labor and it was after DS stepped on his own cord twice while we were being monitored my doc said a c-section would be the best option at that point rather than waiting until it was a true urgent emergency situation since it was so close to that as it was.  I really want to try for a VBAC because I want that experience of really going through labor.

    I had an unplanned c-section with DS. I pushed 5+hrs just to find out during the c-section he was sunny side-up. We started TTC just after DS 1st birthday. Needless to say in the first month we found out baby #2 was on the way :-) I am hoping for a vbac. GL.
