I am originally from Indiana but I have lived in in Chicago for 15 years so I have built a lot of relationships here. My Godmother and Mom want to put on a shower for me here but they have no idea where to go. I have no idea either never had nor been to a baby shower in Chicago. I would be looking to go somewhere between downtown and the North Side preferably East...maybe East of Western so people coming from Indiana don't get lost. And parking lot or easy parking is a plus.
My sister wondered in the park district rents out space. Any ideas?
Thanks!
Re: Where did you have your shower in Chicago?
Hey!
My shower was at Cafe Baba-Reeba. We did brunch.
They did a great job and I thought it was pretty reasonable, given it was Chicago and all. They have valet parking.
I live near Welles Park and they have a gazebo you can rent out. I don't know any of the details, only that they do it. It's right on Western so I'm not sure if that's too far.
Haha! Back in my pre career days, I was a nanny for a family that lived down the street from Welles Park. We're close-ish to Lincoln Square and from time to time, I have to make the trek to Cafe Selmarie for their cherry muffins. I could see Cafe Baba-Reeba working. I haven't been there in a long time but I did like it when I lived by it.
