are there free shipping codes for Amazon or do I just have to suck it up?
I used to have the Prime membership, but that ended at the end of last year and I figured I'd be cool w/o it. Now it's $$ and I need to replace a damaged book for the library and buy a couple of birthday gifts. Anyone know a good code for free shipping or do I just have to get over myself?

Gonna spend over $25? you might get free super saver shipping then.
or you could find someone with a prime membership and have them buy the stuff for you (they can use your CC and have it shipped to your address).
I am actually spending $31. BUT, b/c 2 of the sellers are NOT Amazon, they're not letting me get that super saver shipping deal.
Last time I did the latter option you gave, it went very much awry. So I'll stay away from that!
Sign up for a free month of prime using a different email. Be sure to set a reminder on your phone to go in and cancel before the 30 days is up.

Then even with prime, you'd still have to pay shipping (on those 2 items). No way of getting around that, as the sellers are the ones that set their shipping prices.
