I'm CrazyGal's mom...and wanted to announce that her Team Green baby and IVF miracle is....

Team PINK!!

Rylan Patricia was born by scheduled c-section at 39w, 2d (placenta previa) on 2/3/12 at 9:42 am, 7 lbs, 13 oz, 20" long.

Rylan was born healthy; however, when she went for her 1-week checkup on Friday, 2/10, her pediatrician detected a low resting heart rate and shallow respirations. She was sent to Children's Hosptial, and was admitted to the NICU (she is still there) and is undergoing a battery of tests. Poor baby has been a pincushion...but everything is coming up normal - it appears she has a posterior tongue-tie (latching issues), which is also contributing to apnea. To be 100% sure, they are doing a sleep study soon to confirm.

She lost almost a pound after her birth while in the hospital, but is slowly gaining it back. Mommy is now pumping breastmilk and feeding her with a bottle due to the tongue tie. Once they confirm her diagnosis, they will surgically correct the tongue tie.

Mommy will post more when she can - but Miss Rylan will probably be in the NICU for another week or so.
