How long did it take your LO to kinda "get over" nursing after you stopped cold turkey? I'm really thinking this is the way I have to go with weaning. She is not responding to anything else and I am pretty certain I have to wean in order to ovulate again.

    If I remember correctly, the first three nights were really difficult. Each day was a little easier. There were a lot of tears, hugs, and cuddles. I just kept telling her that my milk was gone, and she was a big girl now. It was difficult for me to not cave in and just nurse her. Especially when we were all sleep deprived and you know you have the solution. What kept me going strong was that I didn't want everything we had done so far to be for nothing to have to start all over again, and we really wanted to be able to get pregnant again. I also had to keep telling myself that nursing her for a year and a half was amazing for both of us. I would guess it took about a week before she stopped asking and seemed to forget about it completely. Good luck!
