Is this pain "normal"?

I have been having pain by my right shoulder blade and upper back. It hurts like a son of a gun! I have been doing a heating pad and tylenol but nothing helps and it hurts more when I bend down. Has anybody else experienced this?? Or have any tips on how to get rid of this annoying pain?

    My sister in law is also pregnant and due around the same time I am due. I personally have not experienced this, I have only been getting lower back pain. But she was telling me she was having a LOT of upper back pain around her shoulder blades. She said its like a knot that just wont go away.  However her doctor said its probably just the weight and pressure being put on her back. He didnt seem to be to worried about it. I would just someone rub your shoulders as much as possible and use a heating pad. Thats what my sister in law is doing.

    YES! Thats exactly what it feels like. Like a knot but I feel its under my shoulder blade. It is so annoying! And it hurts the most at work because I work at a hospital as a CNA and do a lot of bending and what not.

    I had that earlier in my pregnancy when the bewbs started really growing...my back was working overtime to hold them up!  Any chance your going up a few bra sizes??

    This!  And when it hurts, it's almost like a burning sensation... I get it mostly if I've been at my desk at work too long in one position or sleeping on it funny.  Having the hubby rub it is about the only thing I can find that helps and even that only works sometimes.
