Hi everyone! I am new to this board and to the concieving thing. DH and I went off BC 3 mo ago, planning to TTC in Sept, and I ended up ovualating way sooner than excpecting after this last cycle (oops!). Thankfully, I have an amazing and understanding DH, and our situation can allow for this new turn of events.
Anyway, according to my BBT, my temp dropped on the 10th, with insemmination on the 9th. Yesteray morning (the 16th), I had light spotting that continued through the day, but now this morning there is nothing. Could this already be "implantation spotting"? I feel like its too early and I don't have any other symptoms. We are really really excited about this as we've been together for 11 and a half yrs and just got married this past Oct, so we are overjoyed to finally be moving onto this stage. I am just afraid to take PT so early b/c I dont want that big let down (even though I know of the chances of false negative) but I am bouncing off the walls with aniticipation. What are you thoughts? Thanks!
Re: How Long?
If you ovulated on the 10th (it's been 2years since I charted so I might be remembering wrong), then you are 6, almost 7 days past ovulation. At 5days past ovulation your embryo is a blastocyst. At 6-7 it might be hatching. It needs to hatch before implantation can occur. You won't get a positive on a pregnancy test until your hcg is at least 20 and the production of hcg begins after implantation. You might get a fast positive on 8 or 9 days past ovulation, but for accuracy you'll want to wait at least 10 and preferably 12-14.
Patience grasshopper
I happen to know my exact dates and even so I'll be waiting until I'm sure the result will be accurate.

I can tell you exactly how a horse's reproduction cycle works, but I am thrown for a loop with my own. Even with them, we will not ultrasound them until 14 days post- ovulation. But after breeding them, it is easier to "forget about it" or at least put it out of my mind, b/c we have other mares to worry about getting in foal, and checking up and such (we use a computer program for our vet work, which will remind us when 2 wks is up...or she'll just come into heat again, but not always). But for me, I am the 3rd shift foaling attendant to 20 mares at a time (41? total this year), so babies are all i do right now- wait, deliver, and observe them through thier first 4-5 days of life before they get moved to another barn to make room for the next mares on deck. I have 12 hrs, 6 days a week to think about it. and even though i have the internet on my phone, and can "reserch" all of this info, I am still not sure about e/t...but it also gives me time to look up fun baby stuff
Good Luck on your journey, and here's hoping for November babies!!!
It could be, that would put you at 6dpo then. Did you have an implantation dip? (they dont always go together)
Anyway, good luck.
