For the first 6 weeks, B was sleeping great, am and pm naps, great nights from 7pm-9am (with wake ups for bf that lasted 30 min). Tuesday she decided she doesn't want to sleep. Naps are gone-I nurse her down and even if I let her stay in my arms, she wakes up within 10 minutes of falling asleep and is wide awake. Putting her down in the same-she is old cold for 5-10 min and then awake crying.
When she wakes I offer the breast and she refuses. She will not lay on me comfortably, and when I do skin to skin she fusses and kicks-its like she wants to nurse, but when put to the breast she refuses(unless it's one of her 10-12 feedings/day). Dh is the only one who can get her to sleep, and it's on his chest, upright, with her sucking on his pinkie(only works if she is on him, we have tried doing it with her nestled next to us and she refuses).
She is on Prevacid for GER, diflucan for thrush and I am 100% dairy free, including hidden dairy. She hats beig worn in our moby, sling or boba, hates the swing and has sleeping issues no matter where she is put down-crib, co-sleeper, bedsharing
Any suggestions? Our son wasn't a nap happy baby, but he would sleep 12-14 hours (with waking up to feed) for nights, then be up for the day. This little girl got about 6 hours of sleep in the past 24 hours and seems so exhausted, but just will not stay asleep.
Re: Baby sleep help...
Our three week old would not sleep at all barely. We got the Rock n Play newborn sleeper, he slept last night for 3-4 hour stretches from 10 pm until 8 am only waking up 3 times to feed. Best buy ever!!!!!
He wouldn't sleep well with cosleeping, only in our arms.
