Anyone else had to get an ecg when prego for baby?

Maybe you could also point me to a good board to post on...

I just had my 20 week ultrasound and everything looked great in terms of growth and such, but my sweet baby girl (yay, it's a girl!) was displaying an irregular heartbeat in the ultrasound and then again when the doctor checked it out. I am getting an ecg done in a week and a half and don't want to worry if it's nothing, but want to know what this means if someone else has gone through it. The doc said to absolutely, unequivocally, no exceptions lay off of caffeine of any kind and that this may eliminate the issue and also that it could just go away on it's own...

I didn't even ask questions because I HAVE had it happen in the past where I was told something was an issue with my babies and they have been fine and the issues have resolved themselves- just never in-utero, it's been when they are in the NICU after being born preterm.

SO, if anyone has any wisdom or light to shed on what it means if something IS amiss, that would be helpful in this week and a half of waiting I must do!

no ideas on the actual procedure... but you could try posting on the special needsboard too as some of those mamas may have had to go through an ECG?
