Contractions on one side?

This might be silly, but last night I woke up a few times with what I thought might be contractions but it was just my lower left side that was really hurting, and it would radiate to my entire stomach. Maybe I am wrong, I have no idea how this works. Had it happen about 3 times last night while I was sleeping, but nothing today. Maybe I pulled something?

    I have something similar that happens on my lower right side. I asked the OB about it at my last appt because the pain gets to the point where I actually have to vocalize to deal with it. She said it was likely ligament pain (after asking me all kinds of questions about if I had any bleeding, etc to rule out any major problems) and that it can be as bad as spraining your ankle. Maybe that's what it is for you too. It has even woken me up in the middle of the night, and almost always happens when I'm lying down. Getting up seems to help the pain a little but doesn't make it go away completely so maybe try that? I was told it's just something painful I'm going to have to deal with but it's normal.

    Yeah its my lower left side where I was having ligament pain a while ago, but I never had it this severe. It makes just laying down so painful.
