No, I bought the salsa from the refrigerated part of the produce section at HEB (next to the salad dressings, pre-chopped veggies, soup kits, etc.). It worked well - I feel like you would need a thin/runny salsa for this rather than the chunky kind I usually buy.

It might work. You could always make a tiny batch and see how it is.

Those were just from a box. Good old reliable Duncan Hines. DH was very happy to see that I brought a couple home.
