Annoying nicknames
DH has gotten into the habit of calling Abby Abberdoodle. Yes that is correct. As in Labradoodle. It drives me crazy! I know it is silly, but Abberdoodle, really?! And here is the kicker. I called her that today when we came home from our walk. Gah!
I'm sure you ladies have some good ones too. What nicknames (for LO or you) absolutely get under your skin?

A has lots of nicknames from different people...none of them bother me but I don't really use them on her. I just call her honeybee, Abbey Cadaby (like on seseme street) and when she's grumpy I call her crabby abbbey
Some of the others are:
MIL-Poulette (French...but not really)
My mom- Poppit (she's british--always makes me think of Pirates of the Caribean though) or Abbey-Jo (her mn is Josephine)
My BFF- Abbeykins
Abberdoodle is hilarious lol. No one has any nicknames for Martin yet that annoy me, but I'm sure they're forthcoming. I know that when I was calling him Bubbles (you know, long for Bubs), my DH did not prefer it. I even started singing Tiny Bubbles.
My mom calls one of our dogs Mobs, instead of Mabel. I think it bothers me only because there are MANY nicknames for that dog (Ma-bells, Maybelline, Scabel) and she latched onto that ONE nickname and uses it ALL the time. She's also latched on to the word "awesome" but says it in a weird way that gets under my skin.
I was called Beef in elementary and I hated it, mostly because I knew it was a reference to my size. I've also been called Lil Kim, but I thought that was funny.
I get Hannah Montana a lot. No, I did not name my baby after a teeny bopper.
My sister has called me booger since I was 3-4. I hate it. Hate.it
Hahaha! I go by "Aunt Kimmie" to my nieces. I much prefer it to Kim and didn't want to make her say Kimberly.
I hate Kim! Okay, I don't hate it nearly as much as I did in high school. I just think Kimberly is so much prettier. When I went to college, I made it a point to introduce myself as Kimberly. The only ones who really call me Kim now are extended family and people I met before college.
not my MIL but my whole family is a nickname maniac. We didn't announce her sex and name until she was born and everyone was like "what's her nickname then?" Umm...her name is just Liv! The aunts have called her Liv-ey, Liviana, and baby Liv. It's like they are just not comfortable with one syllable names!
My mom calls DD "Boo" or "Girlfriend" I hate both and so does my dad, he yells at her all the time. Plus, she doesn't shut up the whole time she's around DD so she says it repeatedly.
We call her stinky a lot, because it makes her laugh.
People were (ppl being his grandparents) starting to call him Shay before he was born. Every once in awhile a random will want to call him that. But I hate hate hate IT. His name is Seamus.
As for me, I have been Gabe since birth and eeven when I intro myself as Gabe people still call me Gabby.
Hubs is Andrewhis mom and gma call him drew and thats it. But my fraternal side calls him Andy. I know he cringes about it lol.

We call her Calliecakes and cupcake a lot. I like them.
Her teacher at daycare calls her Callie Allie....which I also think is cute.
All of us have cutesy NNs for Christopher and none of them bother me. But my MIL calls him Baby Chris all the time and it drives me nuts! She'll call and say "How is Baby Chris?" and I will say "Oh, Christopher is doing great!" Hoping she'll get the hint!
Avery - I can't really say any of her nicknames get on my nerves. FIL calls her Aves. I call her munchkin or for some odd reason I say Munch ee kin??? Not sure how it happened but I say it all the time. It drives DH crazy.
Me - My name is Jennifer. I HATE when people call me Jenny. DH's grandfather i'm pretty sure thinks that is my name because that is all he has ever called me. Since we now live with him DH sometimes calls me that and I want to cry. haha. Forrest Gump ruined that one. Oh and I hate when people used to call me J-LO. My maiden name started with Lo so people felt the need to point that out - and the fact that I have a butt doesn't help... sigh.
I hate the name peanut for girl babies.
Oh and I love Aberdoodle! This may not help you love it more but I call my cat Roxy, Roxydoodle. I have a little song I sing when I say it. haha. I think it's cute!

DH calls C Stinkleton a lot. I don't care for that one. I have no problem with all his other nicknames. I call him punky. DH didn't like it at first, but it must have grown on him. He uses it now, too.
My nickname since high school has been "Pro". It's the first syllable of my maiden name. People still call me that even though my name has changed.
Haha! Take it. It's yours. You're right that it is kind of fun to say.
That's funny! I still think it's funny that our DH's have the same name and that our DD's start with an A and end in a Y...
I'm a Jennifer but nobody has ever called me anything other than Jenny (long before Gump lol). DH always says the line from the movie "I couldn't think of a prettier name than Jenny"
The only person who calls me Jen is my brother. My last name (we keep our maiden name up here) starts with HO so I was J-HO..nice, right?
MIL calls Mason Mr. Bill. It drives me NUTS!!
I cried a lot when I was a kid. Especially when I was showing and would go off pattern...which happened a LOT!! My NN,that I still get called to this day, Mush. I hate it!
My niece and nephew call Ash Baby Ashur all the time, the call my other niece Baby Molly. I guess since they are kids I find it kinda cute. If it were an adult it might be annoying.
