Potty Training

DD refuses first morning Pee...

EVERY morning we have a battle with having to pee first thing. First I asked if she had to go and she ALWAYS says no. At some point I started just putting her on the potty and 2 out of 5 times she will go. But this morning she refused again and gave her a fresh pullup, by the time we left for school she had peed on her self and it was first morning pee which means it overfolowed out of the pull up! Not one word from her about it! SO FREAKIN FRUSTRATING! She is trained at school and about 70 percent at home, but Im really getting frustrated with this, any advice?

  • Ditch the pull-ups. Don't force the toilet just let her pee herself, don't make a big deal, change her and get her re-ready explain simply "We pee in the toilet".

  • Don't give her the option to say no, just put her on the potty very matter of factly and if she says she wants breakfast or to play or watch tv or whatever just say "sure, after you go pee pee!"  Also if she's 70% trained then I'd ditch the pull-ups for sure, they only slow down PTing.
