I just had laparascopy and hysteroscopy two days ago in hopes of conceiving soon after. Has anyone had success with this or know anyone who has? We're REALLY hoping we don't have to go to IVF.
I just had both of those surgeries in November, which diagnosed me with stage 3/4 Endometriosis. My doctor removed what she could of this disease, but not near as much as she would have like to seeing as she couldn't distinguish where one organ started and one ended.
However, she told us that due to her removing what she did, our chances of becoming pregnant were now better than they were before she did the surgeries. After the surgeries I began experiencing more pain and discomfort from the disease, so I went to a Fertility Doctor on Monday, Feb 6th. I haven't needed to go back! My period was supposed to begin on Friday, Feb 10th but didn't arrive! We took a HPT on V-Day, and found out we're pregnant! We have a confirmation appointment this Monday, the 20th.
But, long story short, I believe the surgeries helped us conceive quicker than we would have without them. Good Luck to each of you!
Re: Newbie- just had lap surgery
Hi there!
I'm so happy you wrote this - I am having the exact same procedure done in three weeks, and I'm really nervous about it.
How did things go for you?
I would definitely suggest checking out the Trouble Trying to Conceive Board, and posting an introduction there!

This particular board is pretty slow, but TTC would be a great fit for you because all of the women there are going through similar situations!
Here is the link to the board, but you can also find it in the list to the left!

Welcome, and good luck! I hope to see you intro soon!
