Swim Diapers Locally

So DS starts swim lessons tomorrow and I don't have a diaper for him.  Queen of procrastination!  Where can I get one locally?  WF and CM do not have them in stock yet, and neither does Target.  Does anyone know if they are in stock at BRU right now? 

I know there was a thread on this the other day but I can't find it.  We use Bum Genius cloth and I thought someone said something about using that as a swim diaper.  Am I totally crazy?  How does that work if you've done it?

    Yep.  Go check out Buy Buy Baby.  I think I remember seeing them out already when we were there this past weekend.  I'd call to double check.  At least with you buying it now as opposed to closer to swim season, is that most sizes should be available.

    Dang.  I work north and live central so it's not really convenient right now.  But, I guess I can go there after DS is in bed.  I have to get something so I don't really have a choice.  :-)  Thanks!

    They have them at BabyEarth in Round Rock, too.  I've heard that you can use a regular cloth diaper cover without an insert, but I'd probably only do that with an old one as I can't imagine that the chlorine would be good for the PUL.

    Yeah, that's kind of what I was thinking, too.  I do have a couple that I bought used that I wouldn't mind terribly if they were messed up. 

    I finally got someone to answer the phone at BRU and they have disposable ones.  I called Kid to Kid and they have a couple of reusable ones, if anyone else is looking.

    Thanks, y'all.  I'm going to call BBB and just go there if they have something in his size.

    Where are you doing swim lessons? We just had a trial class at E m l e r this morning and they sell them there just in case.

    You can remove the insert and use the shell as a swim diaper. (Don't use the insert or else it might absorb pol water.) We've done it when we've forgotten our swim diaper - it's just meant to hold in any poop. Make sure it's nice and tight. I wouldn't recommend it for the long term because the chlorine is bad for the PUL, but it works.

    I found one last year at kid to kid.  Also if your class is at Nitro I'm pretty sure they sell some.  I dont know what brand.

    Looks like you can use just the BG shell.
