Inductions Suck! Update!

DIL is having one day because she wanted the baby to share the same birth day (day not actual birthday) with SS.  She got to a 9 and 0 station quickly but her cervix wont thin out the rest of the way.  They stopped the Pit and then are cranking it back up.  It did not appear to be having any effect on her.  She has been at a 9 since 6pm.  

I am so glad I had a scheduled C section and I would caution anyone to request an induction just to make a date. 

 

SHE is here!!!  We get to go back and see her in a few minutes.  I am so excited!!

    When was her due date? That is quite a ridiculous reason to use medication to start labor. Let the kids have their own special days.

    That is what is so wrong about it.... she was due on Tues/Wed.  I dont know the whole story so maybe there was some medical issue.  But the baby was born a few minutes ago and is healthy!  We are going to go back shortly.

    Ok after reading your post again, I'm guessing SS is the baby's father. I still don't think her decision was a good idea.

    I totally agree.  I think it took so long because she was not ready to come out.  But I am glad that everyone is here.  Young love is grand!  SS is the Dad (stepson).

    I'm glad everything turned out alright.

    That's a pretty lame reason to induce, especially with a 1st baby. She could have run into a lot of trouble. At least, I'm assuming it's her first...

    Glad she's here safely!  Congrats, grandma!  (Insert some much cooler name here.  I vote for "Honey" - that's what my mom uses.)

    I won't even go into my thoughts on inductions and such.

    Yes, this is her first :)   And, I so wished we would have had some of your excellent customer service last night!

    As the stepgrandma, I am totally fine without the title of Grandma but am hoping for Nana or Oma or something along those lines. We will see.
