Back from 1st appt!!!!

Yay! It went pretty well. Need to up my folic acid intake. No u/s, but he gave me a pelvic exam and said I was six weeks. Is that what they mean when they say you're measuring x amount of weeks, or is that lingo reserved for u/s? Don't know, but we'll be having our 1st u/s Dec. 16th. I was also interested in finding out about the screenings but, as I'm at the young end of over-35, the NT scan/quads aren't covered here in BC for someone my age. Not to worry, they gave me info for going private($500, grrrr), so I'm scheduled for those tests in early January. What an exciting day. Another yay!

I think the 6 week comment was probably based on your last menstral period. Since you didn't have an U/S and it's too early for you to measure your fundal height, the only measurement would be based on the calendar.
