I had NO help from my obgyn on this one. I did a ton of research and found a place that would help. Check to see if your hospital works with anyone who acceots donations. My hospital didn't so I went through a public donations sight. I had to fill out some paperwork and have my Dr sign saying I wasn't sick. They looked over everything and then called me a couple days later to inform me I was accepted to donate. I received a kit in the mail so all my Dr needs to do the day of delivery is put the cord in the kit. I then have to call the company within 2 hours of giving birth and they send someone out to pick it up. The link is below.
Check out this website..... https://www.thebradykohnfoundation.org/en. I live in Wilmington DE and the Brady Kohn Foundation collects cord blood for research. Could be an option since you're just a state away

Have you considered delaying the cord clamping and letting your own baby get all the benefits of the cord blood?

Here's another option in case your hospital doesn't have a direct relationship with a public bank: https://cancer.duke.edu/ccbb/
That's Duke's program and the kit is sent both ways via mail. Fingers crossed that it will all work out for us!
