Pregnant after a Loss

feeling "funny"/off?

I have been feeling strange for a few weeks now.  It is hard to explain, but I feel kind of how you feel before you get the flu---super run down, kind of weird in the head, anxious, breathing is tight.

I had a weird episode last week where I got dizzy/saw spots/had a bad hotflash and went into my OB.  They tested my urine and there was no protein in it and they didn't seem too concerned, they just said that I am going to have vasovascular responses due to the increase in blood volume/baby growing for a while.

I tested negative for GD and negative for anemia.

Has anyone else/is anyone else just feeling weird or off in their third trimester?  Is it just hormones?

Re: feeling "funny"/off?

  • I don't really have the same feeling, but I've been waking up feeling "stressed out" pretty frequently... I know its from my dreams - a lot which included my losing my car (like runaway car or just not where I parked it), and I wake up like breathing hard and heart pounding feeling.  Then I'm worn out before I even get up.

Hopefully you start feeling more like yourself!

I have had the exact same thing happening every once in awhile...my OB is not concerned, she said just to take it easy when I feel like that, and lay down.  We are already running so many labs on my bloodwork and urine and there has been nothing to be concerned about so it's just from all the changes fro  pregnancy I guess.  I am anemic (even though they already put me on iron supplements so now I have to take them 2x a day instead of once).

  • I'm not quite feeling all of those things but I sometimes have trouble getting a good deep breath.  I assume it has to do with where LO is at the time, it's not scary but it's not super comfortable either.  I have also been having the crazy brain, wild dreams, stressed out like OMG a baby is really going to be here we have nothing prepared feeling tho which could explain my feelings as well lol.  I hope you feel better soon!

  • I think some of it is hormone related and some is just the body's way of dealing with rapid change. I have moments where I see stars, and I haven't been over exerting myself. I get that shortness of breath reclining on the couch after a while, so I'll quickly sit up straight and feel better. My sinuses are super dry despite trying everything, so I feel a little "off" sometimes...headachey and such. If things get worse, I'd call the office...but otherwise this could be your new "normal". Hope you feel better soon!
