The search for quality daycare is a frustrating one...

DH and I recently moved from the NW side of Indianapolis to the SE side. I LOVE our new home and the area but I am really struggling with not knowing the area and trying to find daycare. Our budget has recently shrunk quite a bit and I find that the only places I really want to send DD are simply not realistic money wise. So, I am now frustrated. I spend at least a few hours a week calling around to different places and searching for reviews online and have yet to come up with anything. She is due in less than 12 weeks and I'm starting to get really anxious about it. Any suggestions are much appreciated. Otherwise, thanks for listening to my rant Hmm

Have you checked out the government's licensing website? There you can view thier inspection reports. This includes centers and in home.

I used the government site mentioned by PP, but I know some friends that found someone on care.com. I was thinking about checking it out myself. I am due in 8 weeks and we still haven't settled on a daycare. At least we won't need it until August when H gets done with summer break.

Thought I'd send out a quick update. I think we found our daycare!!! I took a mommy friend and toured a few places this week and we really liked a christian daycare ministry that we visited. DH and I will go together for a 2nd visit on Monday and as long as he likes it, we are going to get her spot reserved next week! I'm feeling relieved, and it's one less thing to worry about!
