fake coughing?

Does anyone else's LOs fake cough or is 6 months too early for that yet? It seems like my DS does this all day and it doesn't sound like a real cough at all. I think it's entertaining for him. Just wondering if it's something I should be more worried about or if it's normal. Thanks!

Yes, AJ does it ALL.THE.TIME! He does it when he gets really excited. WHich is most of his awake time. The only reason why I know not to worry is because he doesn't do it when he is having his "chill time" or sleeping.

DD does this constantly. I think it's a noise she discovered she can make, and she likes to do it over and over. (Let's face it, their bag of tricks is a little limited right now ... so when they discover something, it's used to the max!!) DH laughs when she does it and I asked him not to because I don't want her doing it. Especially when she's eating.

OMG I thought Olivia was the only one doing this. I was going to ask this question on the FB page but didn't want to seem crazy. We have a Dr.'s appointment today so I figured I'd check with him. lol. These kids crack me up!

Yep, it's partially my fault. When he coughs I cover his mouth and go "Wow!", and now he thinks it's hilarious to cough.

O has been doing this to get attention. I let him play in his piano by himself so I can get things done around the house. To get my attention back he coughs or does this fake whine/cry, it's really pittiful and cute at the same time. Also tantrums have started for us, if he's hungry or wet and I take his toy away to change or feed him he freaks. Fun Times!

Isaac does it, too. He laughs at me when I have to cough and other times he seems to be doing it on purpose. This just started recently. My mom is actually visiting for the weekend and she was mimicking him last night, so the fake coughing (and I know now that it is for sure fake) lasted for a half hour.
