I've read multiple pregnancy books, but now I feel like it's time to start reading about what to expect when baby actually arrives. Has anyone read any books they recommend?
Good idea. One of my biggest regrets after my first pregnancy was that I spent all my time reading about pregnancy and not enough preparing for actual baby care and breastfeeding for after the baby came. I liked Baby 411 and Happiest Baby on the Block, but those are really the only ones I've read.
A lot will depend on what type of parenting style you plan to adopt. From what I've seen people either love or hate Ferber and Babywise. Just depends on how you feel about CIO, rigid schedules, etc.
Re: Books to prepare for baby
I LOVED the book Secrets of the Baby Whisperer, by Tracy Hogg
https://www.amazon.com/Secrets-Baby-Whisperer-Connect-Communicate/dp/0345479092/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1329486207&sr=8-1
It helps get you into preparing baby into a routine and has TONS of stories and ideas to try...
I HIGHLY recommend it!!!
