Weight loss, motivator?

I started my diet on monday, and hate it so much! I need some motivation. So for you mommies that are just as frustrated as me, would you want to do a monday weigh in? and motivation post each week? 

I want to lose these last 20lbs from my pregnancy so bad! I gained 40 and 20 came off so quick, now these last 20 are lingering and I want them gone!!!

  • I know this won't help you, but my dh is my motivation. He has lost 100 pounds in the last 6 months! Just by eating right and exercise. It helps when you are both on the same page and can make healthy choices together. (even if he doesn't need to loose weight, everybody could live a little healthier) he asks me everyday if I went for a walk and if I haven't he will go with me, even though he is exhausted from work and school. He is the only one who can really motivate me.

  • I agree.  I have my OB appt tomorrow and am praying she'll clear me to begin walks and exercise.  I had a c-section so I haven't been able to do much of anything for 4 weeks.  I just can't go back to work in my maternity clothes!!!

  • I'm in! My motivation is getting contacts when I get down to my prepregnancy weight.

  • I will join in weight loss Monday's. I have to be cleared to exercise first and my appointment isn't for a couple of weeks.

  • I'm in too! I just bought a treadmill. I have 25 To lose and even a few beyond that. I need something to hold me accountable.

  • I'm in too! Same as OP--20 came off right away and I still have 20 to go! Don't have my PP appointment for a few more weeks, but definitely need motivation to get started eating right and getting out for walks routinely.  I just signed up for a 10K run on June 2nd to give myself a goal with exercise.

  • There is a great free app called "my fitness pal" that gives you nutritional counts off food, weight tracker, exercise log, and most importantly you can add "friends" who have thr app to and it give community news like "_____ lost 1.4 lbs since her last weighin!" it's super motivating for me because it's very interactive and easy to use. If anyone is interested, we can all exchange our usernames and motivate each other in addition to a Monday weigh in. I love it!

  • I'm in. I had my little on on January 8th istarted working out on the 22 I've lost 16 lbs so far I am doing the 30 day shred and going to the gym at night. My little one is my motivation, I am doing I for him.

  • I usually lurk, but I'm in as well. I've lost 20 so far and have 15 to go for my pre-pregnancy weight but could stand to lose quite a bit more than that. I've been using my Wii and 30 Day Shred when LO lets me.

  • I'm in too! I only have about 9lbs to lose to be at my pre pregnancy weight but I need to lose about 40 more on top of that. I have my 6 week apt on the 28th so haven't been cleared to exercise yet, but I can definitely clean up my diet. I was doing P90X before and lost a lot, and can't wait to start again!

  • My motivation is wanted to fit into more than one pair of (maternity) pants and yoga pants. Also when I return to work in 6 weeks I want to be able to fit into non maternity business casual clothing.
    So I have dropped 28lbs already and if I drop 20 more I will be at my PP weight - DH is trying to help motivate me too. He said if I drop the remainder of the weight before I go back to work he will take me on a shopping spree - and I LOVE shopping!

  • I would love to join you all!  I was doing well taking off the weight, but last week I gained some.  I had tried to do some lightweight exercise, but my bleeding picked up a lot more so I have spent the last week and a half glued to the couch hoping it would stop and I can start working out again!  I need to get my eating back on track too...all of this food people have made for us is going to my hips, butt and gut!  :)

  • Count me in too.  My husband has an art show in a gallery in Baltimore on 4/14.  I would like to be down SEVERAL pounds by then.

    Have you guys ever heard of StickK.com?  I'm doing it right now for motivation.  I did it last year too before I got pg and it really helped me drop those last several pounds.

  • I'm in! I am already 10lbs under my pp weight, but I had gained a whole lot of weight in the year leading upto the pregnancy, so I would love to lose the last 18 of that.
