Weight gain slowing/stopping at the end?

I haven't gained any weight in the last month... For that matter, I've lost a couple pounds. (not trying to... Actually, I feel like I eat more than ever, and move less than before!) My doc didn't say anything, so I assume it's ok... It just seemed strange to me.

Anyone else notice the weight gain slowing or stopping? Is it normal?

I've actually begun to lose some weight. It's all water weight though since my edema is finally going down.

No!! I'm still gaining like crazy and I dont know WHY. At my last visit I had gained 5 pounds in a WEEK!! My doc says it is water weight - my feet, hands, legs....everything is puffy, bloated and ridiculous looking. I just wish for once I could have a good weigh-in at the doc's...every week has been depressing.

I've heard that's what's "supposed" to happen, but it's been the exact opposite for me! My 40 wk appt was the first that I didn't gain at least 2 pounds. I feel like I've barely been eating anything too! Oh well, I've chalked it all up to water weight

regardless if your doctor didnt say anything then I wouldn't be concerned

I lost 5 pounds at my appointment on Monday and my doctor didn't say anything.

Towards the end (3rd Tri) I would fluctuate between the same 5 lbs. My OB said that was completely normal. With DD however I was steadily gaining until the very end. It drove me crazy.

I stopped gaining towards the end and actually lost a pound between my last appointment and going into labor. My OB wasn't concerned about it unless it went on for several weeks.

I haven't gained any weight in 3 weeks and I'm so happy lol everyone kept telling me I was going to gain the most but I'm not at all. But I did gain a lot in my first trimester

Everything I've read says when you get close to the end it's normal to start losing weight. I have been eating just as much, but lost a pound between my last 2 appointments, instead of my normal gain.

Honestly, it's a bit of a crap shoot at this point when I step on the scale. It completely depends on how much extra water I'm carrying. Usually, I'm very swollen by my appointment, but last week, my weight and the edema were both down. I'm trying not to worry about it too much, since there's not a lot I can do.
