2012-The year of weddings

From about 2005 until now we've had about 1 wedding to attend each year.  This year we have 3 in about 2.5 months. May 12, June 2, and July 21.  I really need to kick up my weight loss!

Does anyone else have a lot of weddings to attend this year?  My BFF has about 6 to attend this year, it's crazy!

    We have one next month for a friend of DHs that we don't want to go to at all.  It's a long story, but they're married already (eloped before their baby was born) and have already talked divorce...so needless to say, it seems like a waste of a trip.  And my sister is getting married in October.

    Yes!  We have one every month from June-Sept.  And that still leaves time for others to be added.  We have one on 7/21 too-if would be fun if it was the same one!  It's DH's bday and he has complained about it, I told him I'm sure he'll have a better time than just going out to dinner!  Oh and the Sept wedding is in Colorado and DH will either be the best man or in the wedding party.  Eeeek-$$$!

    Also, I have a ridiculous amount of baby showers, 3 in March!  Lots of babies coming, but that's part of the cycle.

    Ugh, yes. We have 4. I like going to weddings, but having dh take off work that many times (since he only works fri and sat) and asking my mom to watch the kids each time is a pain. Between my work weekends and weddings, I need her to watch the kids every single Saturday in July! Plus the wedding in PA in May, she is coming with us and I got adjoining hotel rooms since I am in the wedding and don't want to leave Clayton home for 3 days in a row at only 4 months old.

    We have 2 that I know of. August 11 and sept 1st I think.. I don't know if we are going to ireland for my sils wedding "celebration" or whatever.. but that would be aug 24th.

    Nope...well, none that I know of.  Most of my friends got married the year I did, or before that.

    This might actually be the first summer we haven't had any weddings to go to since 2004!  In 2005 we had 5 weddings and between the two of us we were in 4 of them. We have had at least 2 every other year I think.  We LOVE going to weddings.  I know some people don't like going to them, but DH and I always look forward to them and have a good time.  We have had to travel for the last few so that has been a little more challenging (Santa Fe, Philadelphia, Long Island).  Most have been in the finger lakes so it is great since my parents live in Geneva and can watch the kids.

    None so far! Scratch that-we had my Dads reception mid-Jan, but to me it wasnt a "real" wedding!

    Our big year was 2005-we had 8 weddings-some weekends had 2 of them (one Fri, one Sat)...it was nuts!

    We haven't had any to attend since 2009 so it's been sort of nice, although I do like going to them!

    In 2009 we went to 8... and that was the year Evan was born!

    1 was before he was born, one was 2 weeks after (we only went to that one for about 2 hours), one was my brother's (DH and I both were in), one was my DH's best friend so he was best man, one was in Florida. Needless to say it was an EXPENSIVE year! 

    I think my brother and SIL went to 11 last year!

    None that I know of. I always seem to have the luck of having nothing for a while, then bam - two or three weddings within a week of each other, or like last year, two within a month - from the same family. I don't mind going, just like some space in between, especially if we have to travel.

    Nope I think we might only have 2. The year we got married was the year of the weddings! We had 10 weddings that year in addition to our own! It was INSANE!!

    We have four, and DH is in one.  He is also going to a bachelor party for one of the other weddings.  Last year was the year of the baby shower for me...I had 5 I went to I think.
