We just made our announcement this morning. We put up a few pictures in an album labeled "Our Baby 2012" And people have been sending in the love all day!
Nothing fancy at all, we did not want to make a big deal out of this or any thing like that, we just wanted to put it out there so that our loved ones accross the country knew...
Its a little scarry to be officially "out", i feel a little like, "better not mess this up now! Too many people know!" But thats just me...
Started TTC in 2006, LOTS of trying, and trying, and 7 rounds of IVF with 13 embryos, 2 perfect little boys and 5 loses.... All finished with babies, started to make diet changes, Keto, to be MORE for my kids, lost 30 pounds, still going, and 3 months in, I had a natural cycle, and then ovulated... Hubs and I are going to see what happens now... Maybe a natural pregnancy? After everything we have been through? Or just a return to normal hormones? We shall see what the future holds!
I kept it simple. Uploaded a pic of me holding a onesie and let peopple figure it out....then after like an hour, i posted of pic of me holding TWO onesies (we're having twins) and then it REALLY got crazy.
Not till 29w... I am paranoid crazy though haha I posted a picture (the one below) and posted we are expecting boy and girl twins in less than 8 weeks! (I am having a c-section at 37w due to my complications). Amazing response <: it was really nice considering a lot of people knew my cancer history and I assume they thought I wasn't ever going to have children. Only a few close people know we did Donor egg though as it's not really anyone's business (we are going to tell our kids but don't want anyone to tell them beforehand). I assume people "think" I went through fertility treatments though...
Twins born at 34w2d, Allison, 3lb,4oz-Ethan, 4lb7oz, both 16 1/2 inches. Out of Difficulties Grow Miracles
we did...our families and close friends knew already.
but at halloween, me & my girflfriends at work all went as m&m's, with shirts we made, and i went as a yellow m&m, and i put a picture of a peanut with an arrow pointing down, saying "peanut inside due this spring" and that's how we broke the news to everyone else! my job went crazy, i work with kids, so all the moms were crying because many of them knew of our struggles, it was fun! then i posted a picture of me in my shirt on fb! it was fun
**~*Noelle*~** Happily Wed DH in May 2010 June 2012: DD#1 born after countless fertility cycles, our 4 year old miracle TTC #2: current cycle: 225iu Menopur for 4 weeks, Ovidrel Trigger= BFP! Beta #1; 333, Beta #2 713! 1st u/s showed TWINS (7/18)
Yep, even though a lot of people knew, many friends in FB land (and back in NYC and PA) did not. Mine was the pic of us holding hands in front of the "Bump Ahead" sign.
I just put an u/s pic and said something like, "so excited for our new addition, coming this august". I thought about being creative, but I ended up just coming out with it.
~after 34 cycles we finally got our 2nd little bundle of joy~
My IF blog
I want to and probably will not too far away. I was very vocal about our IF and many of my FB friends have been following. I just want to see a heartbeat before I post anything. Now I just have to think of something creative.....something I'm not.
TTC since Jan. 2010 DX Unexplained infertility
3 IUI's w/Clomid & Ovidrel=all BFNs 3 IVF (2 Fresh, 1 frozen) =BFN Jan 2012 New RE & Fresh Cycle =BFP!
I did. After we got good results from our NT scan I broke the news. I said We are happy to announce that I'm pregnant! My 5th IVF cycle worked. Baby E is due in June and we are thrilled.
I've always been open about our struggles, so everyone was thrilled for us!! Also a couple friends reached out to me to let me know of their struggles and asked for advise and just wanted to talk. So I was happy I did it.

We do plan on announcing on there, but it won't be for a while. I have no idea how we will do it, but I'm not too creative so it probably will be a more straightforward announcement.

A magazine cover that had Jen Aniston announcing twins- I'm a Jen with twins, I covered her face with my own, it was a hit. My husband wrote a nice announcent.
When we graduated to the OB I posted "I'm nurturing my inner child...literally!"
TTC Since July 2008. Me: PCOS DH: Low everything (MFI) Clomid with TI x 3 2010 BFN Clomid+IUI+Ovidrel 2010 BFN IVF w/ICSI #1 2011 9/8/11 Beta #1: 2082!! 9/19/11 Beta#2 34,689!! I would not, it's just not my style. But I wouldn't steal that joy from dh if he wanted to (in the 2nd tri).
But if it suits you, go for it.
Totally agree with this. We were fairly open with our journey but not to the point where all of our hundreds of facebook friends knew. Plus, I know that all the FB announcements I heard over the years sometimes stung and I guess I fear that I may have a friend or two on FB who might be struggling with IF and I don't want to hurt them.

TTC since 1/08
Clomid, 2 IUIs, 4 IVFs, FET
7 losses
We announced last week (18 weeks). It was the anniversary of my husband's big car accident (what caused our IF in the first place). We said, "On the third anniversary of DH's accident, we are happy to announce that we are expecting a little girl in July!". We got a wonderful, supportive response. I'm happy we shared and happy that we waited this long. Had he not had a "anniversary" to announce on, we probably would have waited until week 24.

DH doesnt post much on FB and asked me not to make an announcement -- I wasnt planning on it anyhow as it isnt my thing.
BIL takes our family photos and Im sure it will be obvious next time he posts them.
I mailed this to our family -- they're all out of state and also to our close friends here and back home.
