Romantic suspense: Anything Lisa Jackson. I also like Carla Neggers
Paranormal romance: Christina Dodd (The Chosen Ones (series of 4) or the Darkness Chosen (series of 4) Both great.
Romance (general): Janet Evonavich (manhunt is one of my faves) She also writes mystery which have a romance twist & are pretty good too!
I know a t of people think its lame but I love the Twilght series. I'm not much of a reader but I couldn't stop reading them. The books are better than the movies though.

I am a twilight junkie lol and I will look it to all these great book choices!! Thanks so much!!!
I love Pride and Prejudice. The book is excellent. I think I have seen all the different movie versions, the best is the long one with Colin Firth. The newer one with Keira Knightly is decent and the gent who plays Darcy in that one is pretty good looking

One of my favorite series is the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. It's not techincally a romance, it's a mixture of romance and historical fiction, but it's oh so good.

One of my favorite authors is Anita Shreve. Her novels are usually based in New Hampshire. The first one I ever read and my favorite is called "The Last Time They Met". Warning: I adore her books but some people can't get into them. They are in no way Nicholas Sparks (love him) who is right to the point. She makes you wait! Another one of her books is "The Pilot's Wife". Great book too.. but kind of the opposite of heartwarming.
OMG! You have to read Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. If you want a love story, this is a must read. Seriously, if I had to take one book on a desert island it would be this one. In fact, just recommending it makes me want to go re-read it--again--for about the bazillionth time...
Into the Wilderness by Sara Donati is also a home run.
If you liked Jane Eyre, you would probably really enjoy Pride and Prejudice or anything by Jane Austen, really. I also really liked Northanger Abbey and Sense and Sensibility.

Yes! Jamie is such a stud!
I'm pretty sure that my husband knows that if Jamie ever magically materialized out of that book, he'd have some real competition.
Claire is also probably one of the funniest and most real characters I've ever read.

Yay! This is an excellent reason never leave the house!
If you are into audio books (I like to listen to them while I'm doing chores), all of Gabaldon's books are on audio book and you could probably get them from the library. Happy reading! :-)

Something Blue was my favorite from her!
Seriously?! I did not know this!
::quickly runs over to Facebook to friend Gabaldon::
We watched The Princess Bride on Valentine's night
Such a classic!

I loved The Time Traveler's Wife. The movie was okay but the book was one of the most beautifully written love stories I've ever read.
