LO's digestive system is all out of whack since the horrendous mutant stomach virus hit our house. Took him back to the pedi today, and she wants him to go lactose free for a couple of weeks. (And do probiotics.)
Any meal ideas? I got lactose free yogurt, will have him on soy milk, etc. I guess I just never realized how much cheese the kid eats!
thanks.
Re: Anyone's LO lactose free?
DD is lactose intolerant, we use organic lactose free milk, and fruits high in calcium like apples (apple sauce, apple juice, etc).
Good luck! It's easy!
DS is dairy, soy, egg and gluten free. We use So Delicious coconut milk as our dairy (they make awesome ice cream, too) and earth's balance for our butter. Lactose/dairy is easy to replace in everything except cheese. Soy cheese is not too bad but we avoid soy. Daiya is a vegan/soy free cheese that is popular. I would suggest kefir, it has tons of probiotics and is lactose free.
Good luck. Hopefully his tummy will feel better quickly!
Thank you so much!
