Bf with fibroids?

I posted this on the bf'ing board too.

 About a year before I found out I was pregnant I went to the dr for a pap and asked about several lumps in my breast, she reassured me that what I was feeling were fibroids. I guess I haven't thought about it before now or I would have asked the dr. Can you bf if you have fibroids?

Of course I will be asking my dr at my next apt. I just wondered if anyone here knew the answer?

    I have a fibroid and I plan on breast feeding, My OB has never mentioned there being a problem.

    Also a friend of mine has fibroids as well and she breast fed. My breast surgeon said they can just get larger due to hormones but shouldn't be a problem.
