The moment a child is born,
the mother is also born.
She never existed before.
The woman existed, but the mother, never.
A mother is something absolutely new.
We are moving tomorrow and Lance woke up sick this morning, greeaaatttt. I am excited to get the move over with though so we can start to get ready for #3 since we have done absolutely NOTHING so far to prepare. We still have everything from the boys though so that is a natural start. :0)
Wish us luck tomorrow, I have a feeling it is not going to be a relaxing day.

This reminded me of my nephew - when he was about 7, he told his mom that babies come out of the belly button. She answered "No, Robert, babies come out of the mommy's vagina."
His eyes grew wide and he said "Whoa! Mommy- it must go..."
He then put his hands really close together and made an explosion noise and threw his hands way far apart.
We almost peed ourselves laughing. All his mom could say was "Um...yeah - pretty much!!"
I'm doing great today. Got a good night's sleep for the first time in a while - finally figured out the placement for my pillows to make me comfortable and heartburn free!

So I'm doing pretty good so far... I think. Trying to hang in there. FTM and super uncomfortable. I keep telling hubby that he'll be hard pressed to get number 2 out of me at this point.
Can you please tell me how you position your pillows so that I can try it. Sleeping is getting harder and I have acid reflux.
Its times like these that I love the fact that I have c/s. We totally just told our almost 4 year old that mommy goes to the hospital and the doctor will cut my belly open and take the baby out. We did this not to scare him, but so he knows that he cant jump on mommy after, but it is so much easier to explain to a 4 year old the the natural delivery

this cracked me up. I had no problem explaining all of the technical information to my children, but my nephew (who is 6) asked me the other day where my baby girl was going to come out of. I was in a pickle for a moment (because each parent should have the chance to explain it the way they want and my sister had a C and she wasnt there), then I simply said "the baby will come out of a very special place that only women have." He then pointed between my legs and said "right there" and I said "yep" and practically ran away!
I am doing pretty well, getting a bit panicky about delivery (30 weeks today!) the old usuals bothering me, ya know acid reflux constantly, sore body, sleepy etc... Hope you all are doing great!
Being monitored for signs of pre-eclampsia, yay. (Ugh.) Feeling like a useless lump because I'm trying to take it easy so I DON'T get myself in trouble. And being short of breath all the time is really getting old.
On the up side, I took the last of my antibacs for this hellatious sinus infection I've had for two weeks, so thats a plus.
Feeling great! I'm really loving that the movements aren't just "thumps and bumps", but are now identifiable by body part..."that was totally a foot" or "I can feel your little butt Bug!". 58days left on my ticker and I'm just starting to waddle, but overall feeling GREAT and I'm so EXCITED to find out if Bug is a boy or a girl! I really couldn't be happier that we decided to be surprised - love it.
