NTTCAL related: T&P's appreciated for my Mom

Hi ladies!

My Mom was diagnosed with stage 1 rectal cancer 2 weeks before Thanksgiving. It was due to her Crohn's disease which she's been battling since she was 13 (now 45). She's finished with radiation and is currently on her 4th chemo treatment. She will undergo surgery next month hopefully, then 6 mo more of chemo.

That's a little background.

This morning my mother found out before her chemo treatment that she has a blood clot in her right calf (leading cause of death in chemo patients). They believe this is due to the chemo (since it causes the blood to favor a clotting environment). They're worried it may travel to her lungs . They are going to try out an anticoagulant injection since her Plavix failed to prevent this. I'm praying that it will work.

So if you wouldn't mind sending a few T's & P's her way that this resolves quickly & that the insurance will cover the very expensive drug?!
