Brown discharge...period?

So I have had brown discharge now going on 6 days, and I was expecting to get my period around this time. I am still breastfeeding my 11 month old, but I have had 5 "normal" periods before this one. I am still waiting for the actual "period" to begin...could it be implantation bleeding? Or has anyone else had a strange period like this? I am thinking about doing a pregnancy test today.

I just had brown spotting for the past few days (unlike my normal period) and I had been 10 days late. i just got a BFP last night. It could be an off cycle due to BF, are you starting to wean?

Same here. I kept waiting for my period and it finally showed up after like four days of discharge. My doctor said to expect to have periods that are off and irregular until I stop breast feeding.

Thanks, ladies! I am thinking now that I am just having irregular periods...but it is so annoying because I have been waiting for it to start for like 6 days of this discharge!!

I had brown spotting for 6 days and it was my implantation bleeding. GL!!

I just took a preg. test and it was negative, so I guess I am not pregnant! I just have a messed up cycle.
