If you are having a RCS but go into labor before your scheduled date, what is your plan? I had assumed I would just attempt a VBAC since I was in labor anyway, but when I asked at my appointment today, doc told me that I just got in for my RCS then. I was a little thrown and didn't discuss it much more...
What is your plan? Why?
Re: RCS moms- if you go into labor?
If I go into labor before my RCS date, they will admit me and prep for a C-section at that time.
Due to some complications I had last time with an internal infection, my doctor and I are not comfortable with risking a VBAC.

I do have a pro-VBAC doctor so why can't I decide to do it? I had discussed it with her earlier in the pregnancy when I had wanted to do VBAC originally. I saw another doctor in the practice yesterday, so I asked him what happened if I went into labor, and he said I would just go in for my CS then.

As others have already mentioned my OB and hospital take you back and do the RCS when you come in (in labor). My clinic doesn't support VBAC (plus my births will only be 12 months apart).
this is my situation as well. I spoke to my OB about possible trying a VBAC but she said no since I already had 2 c-sections. Bring it up again, as it may have to do with the reason you had your first c-section.
