I want my baby back!

OK so LO has been STTN for about a week now which is great! We are so proud of him! He has only had one night where he woke up twice, and we assume that is because he had a 4 hour sleep stretch the day before. But it was as simple as sticking the paci in his mouth a couple times and he would go back to sleep.

However, now is the fun part. In the mornings when he wakes up he is a smiling, happy baby! I take care of him before I leave for work then hand him off to DH (currently a SAHD) and they nap together for a bit. We have tried our best to stick to the whole napping every 1 1/2 hours like our pedi suggested- sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. He will not nap during the day unless he is held (which is going to be an issue if we do send him to  daycare). Seems like as the day goes on he will scream bloody murder for no reason. I feed badly for DH- since I have a new job I can't say no to anything yet so I've been going in at around 10 and staying until at least 630.... by the time I get home LO's bedtime routine is close to starting. DH called me yesterday and was freaking out at me because LO wouldn't stop crying. Has anyone else noticed this since LO began STTN? Sorry if someone has posted about this I haven't been bumping as much lately. I just miss my little cheery LO!

  • Sounds like the 11-12 week growth spurt. I take my Lo on walks to get her to sleep.

  • Well yes and no.  Our LO was sttn several weeks ago and still taking great naps and then he hit a growth spurt and was waking 1-2 times at night again.  But last week he started sttn again but now he refuses to take a nap longer than 30-45 min. and when he wakes he's grumpy!!!  Just cries and cries and nothing works.  So I know he's tired but just fighting it!  I'm still trying to figure it out bc like your DH I'm the SAHM and it's about to drive me absolutely NUTS!!!!
