Will is still not right after getting sick last Monday. We went back in today (he now has a full-body rash) and his throat still looks like strep, yet cultures come back negative. His fever is gone, but he's not acting completely like himself and is completely hoarse when he cries. The rash looks similar to a heat rash and is concentrated on any area of his body that bends/creases/and his hands/feet. The pedi was kind of stumped by it and said it's likely that he just caught another virus that is causing the rash. I *hate* that answer!

If he's not well by Monday, we have to go back in for another check up and will probably end up doing urine culture, blood work, etc, which really scares me. Mono was thrown out as a possibility and I do not want him to have mono. Ugh! I just want my little guy WELL!!

I'm sorry he has been sick so long Libby and for the mysterious rash. I have a sick one over here too and I am praying it does not last a week since we have company coming (and he is just the whiniest whiner right now, it is driving me nuts). My Dad had a weird rash recently and went to the Dr and dermatologist and all they could say was that it was probably caused by a virus. DS2 also has a rash now and the Dr was not concerned about it at all. Pedi also said that there were a lot of viruses going around right now. So...try your hardest not to worry?
