What one hand gives, must the other take away?

Hi, Ladies! Greetings from New Orleans! I am here with baby Mags helping my mom through one of her rounds of chemo. The good news is that her radiation oncologist saw no trace of cancer in her lungs in her latest x-ray, and she suspects my mom is already in remission. :) She will continue chemo through May, and we all know that lung cancer can be a sneaky one. But still! The other good news is that one of the things my mom wants me to do for her this week is take her to Mardi Gras parades! The craptastic news is that my step-dad has been recently diagnosed with stage IV metastatic prostate cancer. Hormone therapy should arrest it for a few years, God willing (or whatever), and then we'll take it from there with radiation and chemo. Anyway, thanks for your T&P, and if you'd throw a little dust my step-dad's way, I'll love you for it!

  • It's always something, isn't it.  That so great about your mom but so crappy about your step-dad.  Good health vibes for everyone!
