Night Sleeping- HELP!

Hello moms,

So, my daughter is 10 weeks old and starting around 1 month she started sleeping 5-9 hours in a row at night before she'd wake for a feeding. I'd put her to sleep around 8pm. BUT NOW, all of a sudden in her 10th week she's been waking up after 4 hours. I'm not sure how to get her back into falling asleep for 5+ hours in a row. I've changed nothing of our night time routine! She is swaddled and I'm thinking she may be getting tired of the swaddling but if I don't she wakes herself up with flailing arms. I'm not sure if it's a growth spurt but if anyone has any advice, I'm happy to listen. ~Shannon~

Re: Night Sleeping- HELP!

  • Right around 10 weeks my LO had a few days where he stopped doing the long stretch of sleep and wanted to eat almost every 2 hours all night. Luckily that went away again. Hopefully it's just a growth spurt your LO is having!

  • My DS did the same, and we are only getting back on track now.

  • I am do jealous! At 13 weeks I'm lucky if she sleeps a 3 hour stretch and the longest she's ever slept was 4 hours! What is your secret?

  • LO does this every few weeks or so. This past week his longest stretch was 3 hours, then after his first stretch it was 2 hours and sometimes 1 1/2. This went on for 2 days, Finally last night he went back to his 5 hour stretch then every 2 hours after that.
  • To Lauren, I was told by my friend of SIX children to get the book Healthy Sleep Habits Happy Child. This book has been my life saver and my go to! Very good principles. My other friend just bought it and her 2 month old is now on a great sleep schedule. I recommend. Oh, and last night she went back to 6 hours in a row before a feeding. Yay!
