  are you in Manhattan? We took newborn care and my husband is taking CPR class at the 92nd St Y. The woman Dr. Adler who teaches newborn care is amazing. she's an RN for 25 years in the NICU. She teaches other classes as well. Newborn care was 2 consecutive tues nights. The parenting ctr at the 92nd St Y is excellent.

  We took a bunch of classes at the Prenatal Yoga Center on 72nd and Broadway. I highly recommend!

  We took ours through the hospital where I delivered (St. Luke's-Roosevelt). They were well taught, by RN's with tons of experience there at the hospital, and helped me get a little less terrified about being a FTM. The only issue I had is it's a bit tough contacting the parent education office as there's only one lady that does all the phone work, and you leave her a message, then wait for her to return your call, and if she doesn't catch you, she leaves ridiculously long (but of course very informative) voicemails... But really this is the least I could do to make sure I knew what to do once my baby got here!
