Yes! We haven't celebrated V Day since our first year of marriage, so I was surprised to come home to a bouquet of flowers, a York Peppermint Patty, Reeces Peanut Butter Cups, and a lovely card with a letter inside. It was awesome

My h was sick and room the day off but he managed to get up ad get me a new red bear for v day and a box of chocolates.. Then we went for dinner.. Super unexpected and romantic!
I surprisingly scratched my car....and surprisingly DH didn't have a *** fit... he was mad but he saw it after we saw our baby soooo if he was really mad it was in his car by himself just letting all the fumes out. I apologized and we had a nice dinner out.. sorta... the food wasn't that great lol but i was happy to be with my DH.
I didn't expect anything but came home to a dozen roses, chocolates, sparkling grape juice, my favorite meal, and three framed pictures of us with DD It so all so thoughtful!
Our son made us a Valentine - with the help of MIL. I love it! I feel like a real mom now that I have a handmade gift with a cute little hand print on it hanging on my fridge.
DH got some bags of mixed candies and a funny card. We agreed not to do anything because we've all been sick, and I'm not that into the holiday any way, but it was a nice surprise.
My father however, made a huuuuuuge meal for us all. There was steak and asparagus and shrimp and holy bejeezus there was more.
My BF and I literally saw each other only when I was leaving for work yesterday. Our schedules for the day were completely opposite, and we are planning on going to dinner on Thursday night. So we weren't going to do anything yesterday, obviously. But I came home to a really nice love letter laying on my pillow for me to read after my day at work...
Nothing huge, I know, but it really made me feel special. I enjoyed it.
I ran into a cement wall in our parking garage this week. I told DH and he said, sweet, we get to see Mike again! Mike is our super awesome, totally cool car repair guy. Let's just say that we've got to know him very well over the past few years due to my, ahem, driving skills.
We do not do V Day--However, before bed time--my son and DH had me and DD sit down on the couch and close our eyes--DD got a teddy bear, and I got a new purse and perfume--sooo sweet--my son was super excited as was his little sister. DH later told me that DS asked what I was getting for V Day and when DH explained that we usually dont do anything, DS made DH go out and get presents --not only for me, but for his little sister too!

I was expecting a card, and his traditional fancy dinner he made from Food & Wine recipes and the hot brownie sundae he told me he was making. What I was not expecting was the quality of dinner he made all from scratch, salmon cakes, red cabbage salad, coconut infused jasmine rice, and turmeric and curry roasted cauliflower. I also was not expecting the flowers and cheesy box of chocolates he brought, he's too cute!
I was totally shocked when my DH showed up with a dozen roses, a pretty gift bag with different chocolates in it, and a funny card with sweet hand-written message. He scored BIG with that surprise.
I was expecting maybe a single rose and possibly a card. He really made me smile with the more elaborate gifts.

We thought we would get to see and hear our little gummy bear yesterday at our 2nd appointment. Doctor decided we'd wait til the 3rd appointment to listen to the heartbeat but at least we finally got to see our baby, the heartbeat flicker, and get 1st pictures. Husband and I decided not to do gifts for valentine's day just cards and dinner.
My father in law who is such a teddy bear on the inside, even though he pretends he's not, showed up at my house at noon with flowers for me he was so sweet and gave me a hug and wished me a Happy Valentines Day! I definitely married into a wonderful family!
When DH came home, he hadn't really planned anything, but did get me a dozen roses on the weekend. I was a bit peeved and hormonal and started bawling and being so selfish. I had gotten him a little gift and some chocolates. Now I look back and feel completely embarrassed. I apologized and he made me a delicious dinner, which he had planned to do anyway. got to love pregnancy! lol
We don't do a big gift exchange now that we have a LO....
However, he came home from work at lunch and gave me a box of fudge (I told him I was craving fudge) and a sweet and funny card (he doesn't usually do cards). Then he handed me a little box....with diamond earrings!
I had told him a few weeks ago that the next time he gets me a big gift I want earrings...I suggested he start saving now! I was kinda kidding and totally not expecting them any time soon!!
I felt like a schmuck that I only bought cards and cute thongs that I'll wear after I find out all is ok with the pg!!
We got to see our baby for the first time and found out we were actually only 7 weeks and 2 days not 9 weeks and 2 days. But we could still see its little heart beating like crazy!
I had an unexpected surprise on VDay but not of the good variety. I got a call from my doctor telling me that I needed to come in for a pap smear today (Thursday). Seeing as how it is recommended to abstain from sex at least two days prior (Tuesday) I had to tell my husband the bad news when he got home from work.
We weren't too disappointed since I've been having allergy problems and he wasn't feeling well (woke up the next day with a fever and a headache). The major downside is that this would have been our first VDay actually spent together since being married. But I'm all for a delayed celebration!
