You might enjoy this article about the chefs and their odds of winning this season.
Some choice bits:
On Sarah: Regularly criticizes Beverly for doing ?Asian? food, as if Asia was a tiny country in the south Pacific with a single, narrow cuisine ? Her lack of geographical awareness hasn't been a total loss, as it has already earned her 16 delegates in the GOP Presidential race
On Beverly: Her admitted social awkwardness really grates on some of the other chefs, especially the women, which makes it particularly enjoyable to watch her take them out one by one like a four-foot-six ninja
On Paul: Strengths include everything ? Weaknesses include kryptonite ? Can only lose if Lindsay, Sarah, and Beverly work together to destroy all the horcruxes Paul has left scattered around the Top Chef kitchen.
I'm guessing we're all Team Paul here (speak up if you aren't, I won't flame you . . . much) but anyone want to speculate on who second place goes to?

I have a total crush on Paul after last week's episode with the mentors. It isn't enough that he's a total badass, he's also a big softie?? That guy is awesome. (Side note: a guy I work with experienced the special Valentine's menu at Uchiko last night, and was telling me about it today. Even though I hate the idea of going out to dinner on VDay, I feel like I could make an exception for what he described.)
I also think Bev will take second place. I really think it was a weak move on Sarah's part to take the automatic place in the top three rather than the car as her prize. I think she did that because she knows she isn't at the same skill level as the others.

I'm afraid when there seems to be a "sure" thing and it is also who I want to win. Um, Richard anyone.
2nd place I hope its Bev, mainly because I don't like Sarah and Lyndsay.
I'm surprised no one else likes Lindsay, I think she's awesome and a great chef! That said I'm TOTALLY team Paul and agree that it is his game to lose. I'm hoping Lindsay gets second place.
I loved it when Tom was all- you got some nerve coming in here with soup. Go Paul!
ETA: I just read the link, I had forgotten how ugly Lindsey was with Bev- definitely part mean girl but I still like her for some reason

Loved the article (just read it) This is what DH and I were yelling at the TV last week when Edward grabbed the canned oysters!

I KNOW! The minute he picked up the smoked oysters, I was like, he's going home. DH tried to argue with me throughout the judge's table but I was adamant. If your protein is canned or frozen, you are going home.
DH and I have a reservation for Uchiko next week. We're big fans of Uchi and have wanted to go for a while, but it took Top Chef to really get us out the door. I am so excited. Also, that place is booking up fast. If you want to go on a weekend soon, make reservations today.
Team Paul, for sure! I'm also pulling for Bev.
I don't like Lindsay or Sarah because of their sportsmanship. Of course they're all great chefs! That's how they got this far. Honestly, it's going to come down to rookie moves, dishonest cooking (i.e. not being true to their strengths), and how the judges are feeling that day.
I love this game because it truly comes down to winning or losing based on one dish. Who cares if you've been acing your dishes from day one? Mess up one time and it's adios, amigo.
The guy at work said the best dish on the menu last night was some sort of concoction where you eat the backbone and head of a fish. He said it freaked them out, but was the best thing he's ever eaten.

I thought the smoked oysters were just in the sauce, not the main protein? I really hoped they'd let me go on that when Lyndsay's seemed so much worse.
The husband said he didn't think they could have 3/4 cooks doing asian, and he also thought the tension over Bev being back was more to the network's liking.
I loved Ed too. I wanted Paul, Ed then Bev to be the top three
Yeah, it was and that is why he thought he could get away with it. But, they still called him out on it.
I was also Paul, then Ed and then I didn't really care other than NOT Sarah.
