I know about the potential issues if high mercury while pregnant but what about while you are breast feeding? I plan to ask at our next appt but wondered if anyone had any info on this.
Only certain kinds are problematic and the list is the same whether you are pg, BFing, or planning more kids. Most shrimp, crab, etc. is fine, it's mostly large deep sea fish to avoid who are at the top of the food chain (tuna, sword, etc.) since the mercury accumulates in their bodies. If you don't have the list from your OB, google and any pg site will have it.

Same. I craved crab cakes when I was pregnant, and ate them once a week. I could have eaten them every day...
