Hello!
I am posting hoping to get a little information about average childcare rates in the capital region. DH and I are TTC and want an idea of what to expect.
Has anyone utilized YMCA childcare services? I have a YMCA very close to home with what I imagine are reasonable rates ($34 a day) but DH and I are unsure if it's worth joining again for mainly that service (if we can even get in).
I'm aware I have some time before I need to be overly concerned; I'm just a planner!
Any info is greatly appreciated! Thank You!
Re: Childcare in capital region
I think it depends on where you are. My daycare has several locations, and infant costs for them alone varies between $200 and $235/wk depending on the location. I know the Kidzlodge (YMCA owned and run) facility near me is more than that. There may be other daycares (either in-home or centers) that charge less. You may want to call around to different places to get an idea. Also, if you only want part-time care, not all places do that, so that's something you'll want to find out sooner rather than later as well.
Good luck with everything!
