anyone's shoe size change since pregnancy?

Just wondering if anyone else has had trouble getting into their pre-pregnancy shoes?  My feet are no longer swollen and the width is not the problem, my toes are crammed against the ends of most my shoes that fit perfectly fine before pregnancy. I didn't realize that this could happen, am I the only one?

I guess it's a good excuse to go shoe shopping :)

Re: anyone's shoe size change since pregnancy?

  • I was so paranoid my size 9.5s would grow b/c my mom's feet grew during both her pregnancies (she now wears a 7.5 so it wasn't a big deal). Fortunately they didn't grow and I can still wear the same size.

  • Yes, my toes are cramped in some of my shoes.  I was a 7.5 now I'm more comfortable in size 8.

  • I was an 8.5... now even some 9.5s are too small!  I am glad to hear however, that its not just me =)

    Fantastic excuse to go shopping!

    Me too!

Mine grew after Ana's birth. A few hours after she was out my feet got so crazy swollen. It was so bad that I couldnt even fit them in some girls size 10s. I wore slippers and compression socks for about 2 and 1/2 weeks after giving birth before my feet stopped being so swollen but then they werent the same, they were a size bigger.

I've been holding out on buying new shoes with the hopes that maybe they'll go down - but now I am thinking its probably a no.

  • This has happened with both of my pregnancies.  It's a good thing we are done having kids or else I'd have to special order shoes!  My hands never went back to normal either!
