Soothie brand paci and daycare

Does anyone's LO use the Soothie pacifier?  DD doesn't really like it but she'll take one every so often and I want to send a couple to daycare.  How do you label it?  I tried to put her initials on it using a sharpie but it came off right away.  And I can't see where I can put a small label.  Any ideas?

  • You could get like a finger's length of fabric ribbon, thread it through one of the tiny holes, tie it and throw a couple stitches in the knot so it won't come untied. As for making it fray proof, you can cut the end in a "v" shape and/or singe the ends slightly... you could also use clear nail polish on the ends, or they sell like anti-fray stuff at craft stores but considering how LOs love to suck on tags and stuff I don't know how safe those things would be. That's the only way I could label ours, every type of marker rubbed off and I didn't want to use one of those label makers, in case it came off and DD swallowed it/

  • Have you seen the wubbanub product? It's a little stuffed animal attached to a smoothie pacifier. You can find it on amazon for about $12-15. There are a number of different cute animals (attached to the pacifier) to choose from...maybe that would be more identifiable. It makes the pacifier harder to loose and you could write your LO's name on the tag.

This.  We have the wubbanub (the little pink horse) and it's great.  It makes it easier for DD to get the paci back to when she wakes up a little since the horse on her chest keeps it from rolling off.  Also makes it easier to find in her car seat while we're diving.  I like it a lot.

Here's a pic of DD snoozing at a freind's house with it:

  • I bought labels for his bottles/clothes from namebubbles.com. I just wrapped a dishwasher safe label around the "handle".
