D.C. Area Babies

It's a sad day

I am now just nursing twice a day during the week - at night before bed and then usually once in the early morning hours. And because of the reduced breastfeeding, I have lost the ability to eat anything I want and not gain weight.

Sigh. I guess it's back to diet soda and watching my food intake. I should probably try to exercise, too. It's been a nice year. Although since I was dairy free for 6 months, it's actually just been a nice 6 months. Phtht.

  • I feel you, I've gained 4 lbs since I stopped pumping a month ago.  Clearly something in my diet needs to change.

  • oh boo.  today is my last day of pumping and as much as I'm excited about that, I am sad that I might need to change my eating habits soon :(  who has time (or energy!) to work out?!

  • also, I am already missing my bigger boobs Crying

  • My boobs are still huge. I was kind of hoping they'd shrink a little as they are kind of disproportionate and make me look heavier than I am.

I have a sinus infection and was really tempted to just say eff my supply and start taking cold medicine, but LO is showing no signs of wanting to wean completely and I would really miss bfing him. Plus, I feel like we should at least make it through cold season.

  • I still remember fondly, and occasionally longingly, the daily (5 or 6) Oreos I could eat while BFing.  Sad day indeed.

  • I'm already hanging to 5 extra lbs that are unwelcome. So not looking forward to the day when I really have to think about what to eat.

This is a great point.  I was thinking about when to drop morning/night nursing (I still like that time with DS and he shows no signs of wanting to drop it - he actually swats the paci out of my hand at bedtime) but I feel like I should have some kind of timeframe in mind. After cold season is a good one!

and I'm with you on the disproportionate thing, I hope it evens out eventually Tongue Tied

I'm with you.  I say, once it is a little warmer, we start taking 1 long stroller walk a weekend.  Pushing an extra 18-25 lbs (or wearing them) has got to help, right?
